Arm Lift

Arm Lift

Brachioplasty, or arm lift surgery, reduces or removes loose, sagging skin from the upper arm to create a more attractive and toned appearance. Arm lifts are best suited for those patients who have lost an extreme amount of weight, but is also an option to help reshape the loose skin that tends to develop with aging. If the major concern is not loose skin, but excess fat, liposuction is usually the better option.

"Since I was a teenager I have been overweight. In my twenties I started getting a bulge of loose skin and fat under my arms. It was really ugly, to say the least. Usually I wore long sleeves to cover it up, I tried weight lifting but that did nothing, so I just lived with it for the next 10 years. My goal was to lose the extra weight before I got any kind of surgery. But, my boyfriend proposed to me last year, which is great, but planning the wedding and finding a dress has been such a strain … Read More" - Submitted by Anonymous A.

"I had my arm lift a few months ago. I guess everything went well, my arms are much slimmer and after a few weeks the swelling had gone down. BUT I noticed in the first week that the scar was not where I thought it would be. It's not really noticeable, but when I wear sleeveless you can still see it, and I'm really not happy about that. I mean, that was the whole point!! I knew that there was going to be a scar but it's not where I thought it was going to be. Don't get me wrong, it's great not … Read More" - Submitted by Inez V.

"I’m so happy with my arm lift!!! Right now I’m still recovering but everyday is a little better. I can not wait to see the final results! I’ve gotten so used to having hanging skin on my arms, but I don’t miss it one bit! I’m still swollen, but my doc says that it’s nothing to be worried about. Seems like my arms look smaller each day. I can’t wait for July, I finally feel good about wearing clothes that show my arms off!!! " - Submitted by Christine A. of Kansas City, MO

"My arm lift was performedthree months ago with and the results havebeen great. I'm so much happier with how my arms look, it has really helped my self esteem. I feel comfortable in clothes that I would never have worn before, like tank tops and sleeveless numbers, which is pretty much exactly what I wanted.! My only problem is that the scar is not very pretty. Not like it’s easily visible, because nobody can see it unless I raise my arms. It's very thick and raised above the skin. I’m taking … Read More" - Submitted by Rachel K.
