Description:

BOTOX © Cosmetic relaxes the muscles of your face thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and restoring the vibrant look your skin once had. BOTOX © Cosmetic is most commonly used horizontal wrinkles in the forehead, the crows feet around eyes, and the vertical lines in-between the eyebrows.

The Procedure:
The procedures consist of an injection of BOTOX © Cosmetic. This injection relaxes the muscles of the face, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Time Required:
Treatment lasts about 15- 30 minutes.

In/Out Patient:
Outpatient

Side Effects:
Side effects are uncommon and mild. Some patients may experience a slight headache immediately following treatment.

Risks:
BOTOX © Cosmetic is a safe product, however there is a slight risk of long lasting muscle tightness.

Duration of Results:
Results vary by person by effects typically last 3-6 months. Recent studies have shown that frequent Botox injections may make the treatment more effective.

Recovery Time:
There is no recovery time; patient can resume normal activities immediately.

BOTOX © Cosmetic is a cosmetic treatment not covered by most insurance.

Level of Discomfort:
Most patients report discomfort no greater than that of any injection.

Anesthesia:
A topical rubbing cream can be applied to the treatment site.
