Description:

The Procedure:
The procedure starts with the removal of excess skin and fat. The remaining tissue and muscle is then tightened and reshaped.

Time Required:

Side Effects:
Side effects may include, bruising bleeding and swelling in the treatment area. This usually abates within a few weeks.

Risks:
All surgeries carry with them some risk. Specific to the Buttock Lift there is the risk of a loss of sensitivity, permanent scarring, and asymmetry in the treated area.

Duration of Results:
Buttock lifts are long lasting, up to 10 years or longer. Your results may vary based on your weight change and individual factors.

Recovery Time:
Most patients can return to work after about 2 weeks. Most of the pain and swelling should subsist by then. Strenuous activities should be avoided for up to 6 weeks.

Insurance:
Due to the cosmetic nature of a Buttocks Lift, it is not usually covered by insurance.

Level of Discomfort:
The level of discomfort experienced varies by individual; some may experience pain that can be dealt with the over-the-counter medication in others it may require more extreme methods.
