The Procedure:
Laser Skin Rejuvenation consists of a low level laser that targets the naturally occurring collagen beneath the skin. The laser stimulates growth in that layer of collagen causing wrinkles to fill in and scars to heal. There is no downtime associated with this procedure. Patients are usually recommended a series of 3-5 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart from each other. Only a specialist can tell you the number of treatments you'll require and the results you can expect to achieve.
Time Required:
Treatments usually last between 15-30 minutes and most patients require 3-5 treatments.
In/Out Patient:
Laser Skin Rejuvenation is an outpatient procedure.
Side Effects:
Occasionally, patients will experience mild burning or redness.
Risks:
Since Laser Skin Rejuvenation does not remove any skin, it is a virtually risk free procedure.
