Wrinkle Removal

Procedure Description:
Everyone gets wrinkles at some point in their life. A lifetime of making expressions, exposure to the sun, and sometimes tobacco use weather the skin, drying and stretching it to form wrinkles. As we age the middle layer of skin that contains collagen, which gives our skin its elasticity, degrades also contributing to the formation of wrinkles. The best way to treat wrinkles is to prevent them. This should be done by avoiding over-exposure to sunlight and tanning booths and by using moisturizer and drinking plenty of water every day.

Unfortunately, plenty of us have exposed our skin to wrinkle-causing factors, but luckily, there are a whole variety of treatments to choose from. Treatments for wrinkles include both dermal injectables and non-injectable treatments like skin lasers.

Time Required:
Wrinkle removal time depends both the chosen method of removal and the amount of facial creasing. Expect anywhere from 15 minutes to a full hour.

Side Effects:
Most wrinkle removal treatments have very minimal effects associated with them such as maybe temporary redness, skin dryness, or flaking.

Risks:
Most wrinkle removal options are considered to be low-risk. However, since treatments range from injectables to peels to radio frequency-assisted procedures and laser treatments, the potential risks of each can differ greatly.

Duration of Results:
Again, wrinkle removal results vary between the different treatments offered. However, look for results to last between 3 months to a year.

Insurance Info:
Due to the cosmetic nature of wrinkle removal, insurance usually does not apply.  

Can be Combined With:
Many wrinkle removal treatments can be combined with other wrinkle removal treatments for increased results.
