"The usual procedures are imlpants or fillers. Also lipo. I doubt they will shave your jaw (mandible) bone.Dramatic changes can occur just by having a chin implant and the fat suctioned out or by having saline imlpants over the cheek bone area.DO NOT accept silicone in your face and always research any Doctor's qualifications before you go under the knife. Some procedures are even available from an aesthetic practitioner! Much cheaper and safer." - Submitted by Anonymous of UEEtwMwEByJmZaUB, VT |

"Since I was a teenager I have been overweight. In my twenties I started getting a bulge of loose skin and fat under my arms. It was really ugly, to say the least. Usually I wore long sleeves to cover it up, I tried weight lifting but that did nothing, so I just lived with it for the next 10 years. |

"I had my arm lift a few months ago. I guess everything went well, my arms are much slimmer and after a few weeks the swelling had gone down. BUT I noticed in the first week that the scar was not where I thought it would be. It's not really noticeable, but when I wear sleeveless you can still see it, and I'm really not happy about that. I mean, that was the whole point!! I knew that there was going to be a scar but it's not where I thought it was going to be. Don't get me wrong, it's great not to have the flab, but i think scar just looks so ugly! I should have considered that this would happen. The plastic surgeon I went to told me that the scar wasn't going to be visible, but obviously something went wrong. I guess it was worth it, but It's like I've traded one problem for another. They say that I can get rid of the scar with laser treatments, but that's going to be more money, and i just can't afford it now. Maybe next year. |

"I’m so happy with my arm lift!!! Right now I’m still recovering but everyday is a little better. I can not wait to see the final results! I’ve gotten so used to having hanging skin on my arms, but I don’t miss it one bit! I’m still swollen, but my doc says that it’s nothing to be worried about. Seems like my arms look smaller each day. I can’t wait for July, I finally feel good about wearing clothes that show my arms off!!! " - Submitted by Christine A. of Kansas City, MO |

"My arm lift was performedthree months ago with and the results havebeen great. I'm so much happier with how my arms look, it has really helped my self esteem. I feel comfortable in clothes that I would never have worn before, like tank tops and sleeveless numbers, which is pretty much exactly what I wanted.! My only problem is that the scar is not very pretty. Not like it’s easily visible, because nobody can see it unless I raise my arms. It's very thick and raised above the skin. I’m taking some injections to reduce it’s appearance, but I’ve been told that it probably will only lessen the redness. Oh well, it was a good trade-off for me. I think if you don't like the way your arms look, then a brachioplasty is probably the right treatment. I don't think there's anything out there that gets the same level of results. |
