"I'm a 45-year-old female who had struggled with thinning hair and balding patches for years - most of my styling routine involved covering up my thinning scalp with a hat!

By now I've had 2 hair transplant surgeries and I am THRILLED with the results! Completely natural, new hair coverage - after the 4+ months it took for the hair to start coming in I couldn't be happier.

My hair transplant surgery was painless, just very time-consuming. I felt it was well worth the time and cost." - Submitted by Patricia A. of Worcester, MA

"The newly transplanted hair needed about a year to really start coming in - but man, it was worth the wait! As for the procedure, it was painless and really didn't take long at all." - Submitted by Will D. of New Britain, CT

"I got my treatment done some four months back it was a mixed experience as I was totally new to it and have to face a lot of challenges but what i enjoyed the most was the reactions of my friends when they first saw me after he procedure. Some of them were astonished and even horrified with my appearance. I love all those happenings.

"I had my first procedure done almost 4 months ago. I've healed remarkably, and no one has ever suspected anything has been done. Which is the problem, I so far can't see any regrowth. Is it too early? I was under the impression that I should start seeing the progress around this time. I had my first follow up visit this week and the doctor was trying to tell me how great everything was looking, but I honestly feel like I look exactly the same as I did before the procedure. "I began losing my hair around 16 - at 20 I had an excellent 300 graft procedure performed by Dr. Constantine Chambers (The Chambers Hair Institute) in CLearwater. You couldn't tell I had anything done - the scar was invisible. Dr. Constantine Chambers a true pioneer and a pro in the industry who was famous and even wrote his own books on hair transplantion, unfortunately was killed in a plane crash here in FL a couple years after doing my procedure. I was devestated when I read the paper.

Eventually Dr. Robert Paunovich took over the clinic and is still running it -he was trained by Dr. Chambers but unfortunately his procedure was like night and day. He recommened 1,000 grafts which I went for. He placed 3-4 hair grafts somewhat close to the hair line and some point slightly in the wrong direction; I also have a much wider, large scar on the back of my head. He went over the previous scar but only about half way, the other half curved more down then up. Not to mention I suffered shock loss this time, and most of the hair on my head is the badly transplanted hair. I have to comb my hair in a certain way, mostly down, to hide it. So, now at 25 I am in need of serious advice either from a professional doctor or someone who's had a similar experience, because I'm still young and because I've been badly depressed over this and its affecting my life in a way you won't believe. I used to think about losing my hair all the time - now I think about it and the bad transplant I've had...my mind races way too much somtimes...I think it will eventually literally kill me unless I get some help... I will probably need a scar revisio/excision, and then I can eventually get individual FU transplanted next time by a professional - i may even need some bad grafts removed. Any good doctors out there please help me... I am really getting tired of thinking about this 24 hours a day..." - Submitted by Anonymous

"Hi there im a 30 year male from Australia who has had 2 procedures done now with amazing results. As far as it working i totaly have faith in hair transplants as long as you have done alot of research into the choice of your surgeon as they are alot of dodgy ones operating out there too who only want your money and give you shocking results. The results usually after a procedure start to come through anywhere from 3 months up until 6 months plus on some people and continue to grow through until 15-18 months." - Submitted by Damo H.
