"I expected to have a flatter stomach for the summer months after i completed the healing process. My stomach to me looks the exact same as it did before the procedure. i work out 4 days a week and I have a pretty practical diet but after paying for a service you would expect to see results for longer than a month. My stomach only appeared flatter for a month after the procedure. I had the procedure done in June of last year and was told after laser lipo the fat cells would not grow back and the results I experienced were practically permanent if I maintained my diet and exercise routines. I am very disappointed. Every procedure I've had with this company has been a disappointment. My advice to anyone reading this forum, do your research. "I contracted for lower and upper abs, love handles/flanks, and lower back. I had the lower/upper abdomen done today. The actual procedure was relatively quick, about 3 hours total, with about 1.25 hours mostly waiting. The procedure was somewhat painful, mostly when the PAL suction was being done after the laser treatment. It has been 4 hours since the procedure was over, and I'm now getting sore. I don't like taking drugs, but I'm considering Vicodin right now, because the pain is escalating and I guess I would rather take the drug than do the pain. I was told that tonight will be the time where the pain will be worst, and after that it should be getting progressively better. I'm swollen larger than I was before the procedure, but also was told that is normal. 1.25 liters of pure fat was excised.
I will be going back to have the love handles/flanks and lower back done in a about a month. Too bad I couldn't have had everything done on the same day!
The doctor and staff were very professional, the facility was well kept, and I am looking foward to the end results!

"I work out often and am not a "big girl," but I had stubborn belly fat for a long time. I had smartlipo surgery recently to get rid of this and i was nervous about it before but I really shound't have been.

The surgery wasn't painful at all, just some mild discomfort at times and the laser just felt warm when they were using it. The recovery's been good. "I wanted SmartLipo to eliminate my belly pooch, which I couldn't get rid of even though I exercise about 3 times per week. I'm only 20 and other family members have it so I thought smartlipo would be the way to go.

First they injected me with the numbing solution, which felt like a little pinch. then the surgeon made 4 incisions which I didn't feel at all. After the surgery I got a ride home and went right to sleep. The next couple days I was very sore, like I'd done several hundred crunches.

"'m back home from my Smartlipo. My experience was excellent and guess what? For the first time in my life, I have a waistline! Even with swelling! Dr. Duncan was awesome, and the care provided by the staff at Personal Touch Med Spa was better than any hospital I've visited in recent months.

I arrived on Friday afternoon after being picked up by the staff at Personal Touch Med Spa. The car was spotless and they were kind and considerate. I was greeted at their offices, shown to my room and got ready for my EKG. To my shock, the EKG showed an irregularity in my heart, something that looked like a clogged artery Dr. Duncan would not do the Smartlipo surgery until she felt 100% sure that my heart was okay. I was traveling alone, and this news frightened me, as if I wasn't already nervous! But the staff and Dr. Duncan were wonderful - they fed me a nice dinner and were there for me if I asked for anything.

Saturday morning the staff cardiologist, a sweet and very professional man, took me to get a stress test, a more indepth EKG, then an ecocardiogram and a sonogram. My heart is perfect (thank God!), and so I went back to the Personal Touch Med Spa clinic to prepare for my surgery. Only after reviewing my results with the staff anesthesiologist did Dr. Duncan decide that Smartlipo surgery was safe and appropriate for me.

After a discussion with the staff anethesiologist, I chose to have an epidural. They gave me medicine in my i.v., and I did not feel a thing! I'm a lightweight so this was perfect. The Smartlipo surgery was over before I knew it. The anethesiologist, nurses, Dr. Duncan and staff were available all night long in case I needed help. The only help I needed was a pillow; when I rang the call button they all came running to my aid! Even the doctors! I left the office at 11am the next morning with no problems, just sore and leaking.

Dr. Duncan did my abs, sides, arms and sculpted the area above my butt for definition. But the best part is that she gave me a waistline! Today I have a little pain, as if I worked out hard, and the leaking is icky, just like everyone says. The swelling isn't too bad; I wonder if I need a smaller garment?
