"I tried sclerotherapy treatment for spider veins with two different doctors with almost no success. The first time the procedure was performed by a vascular surgeon in 3 sessions in 2008 that resulted in fading spider veins in a small area on my right thigh (that have started coming back now, two years later) and worsening the problem in another but larger area of my both legs. More than a year later, I saw another doctor, a general surgeon who was also specialized in vascular surgery and various vein treatment techniques (according to the doctor's professional profile). I only had one session with this doctor on one leg and result was a disaster (pigmentation and scars on top of existing problem). I do not know why so many doctors claim that this is an effective technique to treat spider vein which I think it is not true. At least my experience was a real disappointment after spending $1,350." - Submitted by Anonymous of Denver, CO |
